Coronavirus Precaution Reference at Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville, P.C.

Office Hours:

In our best effort to limit the spread and exposure to this virus our Clinics and Ambulatory Surgical Centers will be closed for appointments until April 1,2020.  The Gainesville Clinic will accommodate GI related illness appointments on a limited basis, ONLY as directed by our physicians. No routine visits and no patients with any other illness will be seen. Infusions are still being given at this time. If you have an appointment scheduled for this time period our office will be contacting you in regards to rescheduling your appointment.

If You Feel Sick:

If you have a fever and cough or difficulty breathing, we are requesting that you do not present to the office. Please contact your Primary Care Physician or visit your nearest Urgent Care or Emergency Department for evaluation. We are requesting you be evaluated and cleared before scheduling or rescheduling an appointment with our office. 

How We're Preparing:

A task force has been created and are preparing our facilities for the possibility that we may see patients with Coronavirus, known as COVID-19. We have been following the guidance of the CDC and are working to ensure staff are following the standard protocols including, asking patients about their travel history, exposure risk and present symptoms.
Below are the steps that we are taking to protect our patients and our staff:
-Our Clinics and Ambulatory Surgical Centers are closed until April 1,2020.
-The Gainesville Clinic will accommodate GI related illnesses as directed by our physicians on a limited basis. 
-Anyone entering our buildings will be screened using a questionnaire and temperature check. They will also be given hand sanitizer or asked to go in the restroom and wash their hands before sitting in the waiting room
-The staff has will wipe down all surfaces every 30 minutes throughout the day
-We are keeping people as far apart from one another as possible
-We have stopped all non-essential guests from entering the buildings
-The staff has been instructed to stay home if they become ill
-Anyone that can work from home has been asked to do so
Additional preparation will be determined on an as needed basis.
