Coronavirus Precaution Reference at Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville, P.C.

Effective Monday, May 11, 2020 our offices and Ambulatory Surgery Centers have re-opened.  With the reopening our offices will remain diligent in taking measures to prevent the spread and exposure of COVID-19 by following the most current CDC regulations. For our patients who cannot come into one of our clinic locations we will continue to offer telehealth visits, on as needed basis directed by our physicians.

What is a telehealth visit?

A telehealth visit is a HIPAA-compliant two way audio and visual conference call hosted by doxy.me.  This service will allow all new and established patients to complete an office visit from the comfort and safety of their own home. Should you have any questions about telehealth, please contact our office at 770-536-8109.

Preparing our Office:

These are the steps that we are taking to protect our patients and our staff:
  • Anyone entering our facility will be REQUIRED to wear a mask, and will be given a verbal questionnaire. Upon completion of the screening, they are given hand sanitizer or asked to go in the restroom and wash their hands before proceeding past the front entrance
  • The staff have been instructed to wipe down all surfaces every 30 minutes throughout the day
  • All staff will be screened using a questionnaire and temperature check. Staff have been instructed to stay home if they become ill.
  • All staff will be required to wear a mask when in the office.
  • Staff and patients that have been instructed to report to the office are being kept as far apart from one another as possible.
  • We have stopped all non-essential guests from entering our facilities.
  • No visitors will be allowed in with a patient, unless the patient is a minor.
We will update these processes as necessary.

If You Feel Sick:

If you have a fever and cough or difficulty breathing, we are requesting that you do not present to the office. Please contact your Primary Care Physician or visit your nearest Urgent Care or Emergency Department for evaluation.
